Privacy for workshop tools
Effective 7 October 2026. This notice covers TDB Fab Workshop Tools, operated by TDB Fabrication Ltd (company number 15352720). Contact: info@tdbfab.co.uk.
What the tools store
The tools save calculation drafts, jobs, favourite selections, machine details and dated logbook notes, company details, offcuts and workshop documents on your device using local browser or app storage. Photos and evidence attachments also stay on your device. Workshop records are not uploaded to an account database, and there is no automatic device synchronisation.
We do not receive the contents of these local records through the tools. The app includes no adverts, analytics SDKs or tracking pixels. Hosting providers may process normal web request information, such as IP address, browser information and requested pages, to deliver and secure the web version. The native edition bundles its calculators and app pages and does not need to fetch them from a website.
CAD drawings and proposed stock plans
DXF drawings chosen for nesting are read and processed locally in the current page memory. They are not sent to a server or included in full backups. The offcut matcher reads your local inventory without reserving or consuming records. Download a plan before leaving its workspace if you need to keep it. A sheet-cost transfer places the description and material cost into the local quotation calculator.
Optional app accounts
Calculators and workshop tools are free to use without an account. If you create an app account, Supabase processes your email address, display name, password and authentication information to register you, verify your email, manage sign-in and reset your password. Passwords are handled by the account service and are never included in workshop records or backups. We use account information to provide the account service and protect it against misuse. When app registration is enabled, account confirmation and password-reset emails are sent through Resend. Resend processes recipient email addresses, message content (including confirmation or reset links), and delivery information and logs to send these messages and investigate delivery problems. This email information and associated logs may be processed in the United States. Resend does not receive your account password or local workshop records from the app. These are account-service emails; creating an app account does not subscribe you to marketing emails. Read the Resend privacy policy for information about the email provider.
App accounts and Squarespace store accounts are separate. App sign-in does not upload your calculations, photos, quotes or workshop documents, and does not synchronise records between devices. The device stores an app authentication session separately from workshop records so you can stay signed in. Signing out removes that session; it does not remove workshop records saved on that device. On a shared device, other people using the same browser or app can access those local records.
Contact info@tdbfab.co.uk to request account access, correction or deletion. We verify account ownership before acting. Account information is retained while your account is active and removed when a verified deletion request is completed, subject to any information we must retain for legal obligations or security investigations. Read the Supabase privacy policy for information about the account provider.
Photos and device sensors
You choose any photos or evidence files to open. The tools process them locally for markup or colour picking. The angle tool uses device orientation only while you enable its sensor mode. These photos, attachments and sensor readings are not uploaded by the tools.
Exporting, sharing and support
Backups include local records and attachments. Sharing a calculation creates a link containing its inputs, so avoid putting confidential information into fields you share. Print and file export use your browser or phone's print, save and share functions. The service or app you choose to receive a file handles that copy under its own privacy terms.
When you email support, we receive your email address and the information you send. We use it to answer your request and resolve problems, and keep it only for as long as needed for that purpose or applicable recordkeeping obligations. Do not send customer records or evidence attachments unless they are needed for your request. The basis for responding is our legitimate interest in supporting the tools.
Backups and deleting records
Keep a separate full backup if you need to retain your work. To remove local records, clear this website's storage in your browser or remove the native app and its data in device settings. Your operating system may separately back up app data according to your device settings. Exported files, shared copies and device backups need to be deleted separately. Deleting an app account does not delete local workshop records, exported files or device backups; remove those copies separately.

External technical references and links to the TDB Fab website open services with their own privacy policies. The Squarespace website's cookies and contact forms are covered by its separate website privacy notice.
